Why is it necessary for scientists to understand chemical reaction rates?
The rate of a chemical reaction gives us information on the rate at which a chemical takes place and has the following advantages;
1. It helps industries in the utilization of time and resources in the most efficient way to produce maximum possible products.
2. It helps us understanding biological processes and how they can be improved by studying the rate of a chemical reaction at molecular level.
3.The rate of a chemical reaction is also altered by a specific enzyme and regulates the volume of the product formed. Hence by understanding the enzyme action during a chemical can help us producing more products in less time.
4. Rate studies helps us understanding a chemical reaction at molecular level in which we represent the rate of a chemical reaction in terms of order of the chemical reaction w.r.t different reactants. This helps us understanding the complete mechanism of the chemical reaction.
5. It also helps in archaeological dating and biological carbon dating and in many other fields.
