There is much debate about false rape accusations and the effects these accusations may have on the accused perpetrator. Describe your feelings on this issue, indicating how common you believe false accusations are, what rights the alleged victim and accuser should have (e.g., anonymity in the press), and how this issue should ideally be handled.
At the present scenario, the rape crime is increasing in most societies, we are getting most rigid laws against rape crimes but in such cases we had experienced some false rape accusations.
Rape laws are important for security of victims but now days we can see false rape accusations and the number of false accusations are increasing day by day.
Effects of false rape accusations- The rape is not only a crime but it affects social structure as well as traditional values so that a false rape accusation can finish the social life of a person, the psychological impact of false rape accusation create demoralization in society as well a personal life. It also changes the view of society towards victims and real accuser. Media trials also make things worse so that individual dignity finished up.
Rights of victims and accuser- The victim and accuser experience same human rights but the rape accused and victims faces social and psychological pressure so that the dignity of individual and individual rights must be protected for everyone.
Here we can handle the situation by using some simple norms.
1- The media trials before court must be prohibited.
2- Laws against rape crime should be more effective as well as laws against false rape accusations should be rigid and strong.
