In place of the TLS secure socket layer (SSL) should be used. SSL provides security for the e-commerce website to create a safe, trusted environment, confident in making purchasing products for customers. SSL certificate has a key pair as a public and a private key. These key pair provides an encrypted connection between e-commerce organizer and customers to make payments through credit cards.

SSL allowed sensitive information such as credit card, net banking security numbers, and login details to be transmitted securely.

For example, HTTP is a standard website address, and https is a secure website address. In https, SSL security is used to secure communication.

Anyone can't access the payment information if the web service provider is using SSL certified security.

SSL can't provide full security alone, and the presence of SSL leads to a false sense of full protection in payment. For complete security in SSL to make payment, another security step should be used as virtual credit cards provided by some banks and card issuers.
