Provide definitions and examples of the following concepts related to Piaget’s concrete operational stage: a) identity, b) transitive inference, and c) hierarchical classification.
Each explanation should be realted to what children emphasize
Explain how children reason in Kohlberg’s three levels of moral thought: preconventional moral thought, conventional moral thought, and postconventional moral thought. For each level, report a) what children emphasize as important as their basis for their moral beliefs and b) provide an example from the Heinz dilemma that reflects that type of moral reasoning.
Piaget’s concrete operational stage is the stage in his theory of cognitive development. following terms in the stage are defined as-
1.
Identity- it is defined as the feature of concrete operational stage that helps the children understand that objects have a particular identity or attributes that do not change even after altering the object. For example, the peice of the chalk is still a chalk even if it is broken into peices.
2.
Transitive Interference is defined as the ability of the child to identify and understand the relationship between the objects in serial order. the transitive interference refers to using previous knowledge to determine the peice in basic logic in current system.
3.
Hierarchical classification refers to subgroup ordering that is done by Piaget in this theory that classifies different sets of qualities attained by the children at particular stage of development.
(Kindly create individual order for other questions)
