how do i get x= 6.011 E-6 from x^2 =3.614E-11
if X^2 = 3.614*10^-11
now taking under root both side
x= 6.011656*10^-6
or x= 6.012*10^-6
Significant figures:
Significant figures are the numbers which are reported in a measurement including the estimated digit.
In general, 0 (zero) in front of decimal and at the end of a non-decimal number are not significant.
Estimate digit:
The last digit in a measurement is an estimate.
The rules which states which zeros are significant are follows:
For example; 0.000 012 58 L contains 4 significant numbers, when it round off into three significant number then we add +1 in 5. Thus the number is 0.000 012 6 L which contains 3 significant numbers.
