How I can find s, h, when p= 8000 kpa and x=0 ?

Which table ? please show me

Solutions

Expert Solution

Use saturated steam table,

At P = 8000 kPa = 80 bar

Tsat = 295.042 C

hl = 1316.61 kJ/kg

hv = 2757.8 kJ/kg

x = 0 implies no steam

i.e h = hl = 1316.61 kJ/kg

Suppose x = 0.2

.: h = 0.2*hv + 0.8*hl

Similarly, S can be calculated from the table.

Sl = 3.2 kJ/kg-K

Sv = 5.74 kJ/kg-K

At x = 0 , S = Sl = 3.2 kJ/kg-K
