There are Pros and Cons to Globalization, What are they? Pick a side and defend your position.
Globalization has a lot of pros.
Globalization has over the years helped in transfer of technology from one place to another or one country to another, technologies which some developing countries could not think about are now applying.those technologies because of globalization.
Globalization checks the domestic market and makes it kore competitive, sometimes leads to an end of monopolies, who were charging premium prices from customers on goods that restricted from trade but later was made open to trade.As a result it leads to a relative increase in wage.
Globalization gives individuals an opportunity to utilize their full potential.For example, an individual who has a knowledge of automobiles but his or her country is not the best for automobiles can migrate to his or her suitable location(any part of the world) to excel.
Globalization does not only help spread technology but makes the technology cheaper.Electronic gadgets like laptops and cellphones which were not affordable by some countries are noelw affordable.
Globalization helps underdeveloped countries grow faster through foreign direct investments, foreign portfolio investments, which help.them get investments.
Globalization helps erradicate social evils and backwardness of an economy by transfer of political and religious idielogies and culture from one place to other.
Globalization has also helped in decreasing discrimmination against women in terms of wages upto some extent.
There are a lot of other pros and there are cons too, but is any con enough to outweigh the positive effect of pros?The answer is no.
