The main divisions of nervous system are central nervous system, peripherial nervous system
Central nervous system consists of brain and spinal cord. Brain is the most complex organ and is responsible for thinking, emotions, it also control our movements and other body functions. Spinal cord carries out information between brain and other body parts, it also contains circuits that control cetrain reflexive responses
Peripheral nervous system - This consists of nerves arising from brain and spinal cord. Its pimary role is to connect nerves to other organs, limbs and skin. The peripheral nervous system is further divided inro somatic ( responsible for carrying out sensory and motor information) and autonomic nervous system ( it is responsible for carrying out involuntary body functions such as blood flow, heart beat, digestion and breathing). Autonomic nervous system is further divided into sympathetic ( which prepares body during any danger, or risk event) and parasympathetic ( it controls body and brings it back to normal)
