please explain the 2 mechanisms that protect the stomach from being digested
The stomach is one of the major Organ in our human body that has many major role in digestion . It secretes many enzyme for the digestion of food. It also secrete hydrochloride acid . All these are having the potential to digest the stomach wall but it is protected from getting digested by Specifically secreting sticky as well as , neutralising mucus that will clings on to our human stomach walls . First, the gastric mucosa is Specifically covered with surface epithelial cells present in the wall . These Specifica epithelial cells will secrete a Very thick mucus that is an alkaline substance in pH; thus it will help to neutralize the gastric acid that is secreted by the stomach .Secondly the , epithelial cells in the wall are connected by a very tight junctions so These cell to another cell adhesions will Specifically act as a very good barrier, so these chemicals or the molecules will not pass through the stomach lining easily. Thirdly the , damaged epithelial cells of the stomach wall are replaced at a very quick rate over there . Cell division in these area occurs Specifically every three days to help in promoting the protection of the stomach wall from getting digesting itself.
