The latest trend in the development of healthcare information systems is the use of data for decision making. The organizations are integrating this feature into their information systems in order to make better decisions and make sure that the patients get the best and accurate treatment. The patient history can be stored in the information system and that data can be used to make the decision and the data can tell more than just the number of times the person has got sick. The data can analyze the reason behind his sickness and what kind of infection led to the disease. Whether a person is allergic to some food or beverages or even the medication. All this data can be extracted in few clicks by using the data-driven decision-making approach in the healthcare. The business intelligence or the machine learning technology can be integrated with the system developed. From this, the patient will be benefitted and the organization gains more reputation for providing excellent treatment to the patients.

If I want to build my career in healthcare industry then I need to know about all the latest technologies that have the ability to transform the entire industry for good. I need to to be aware of them to understand the process better in the future and how the practitioners would make use of data in their treatment.

I will have to get trained in the application of these technologies into healthcare. I will become a very valuable asset to the industry if I successfully learn how to do that. The organization would love to hear my expertise and I would become a subject matter expert in the future.
