The declining influence of the United States Constitution.
Among the citizens of America, there has been strong pride about the constitution that we hold, though there has been support suggesting that there should be amendments in it. Initially, there was a great influence of the constitution in the world. But it is important for us to realise that globally, there us a much reduced influence today, as compared to what it was some years ago. This has come up to become a fact and has shown to be a historic shift. This is because, there have been many emerging issues regarding human rights and globally there have been evolving consensus regarding the same. The US constitution is falling out if sync in addressing these issues. The other countries, have been successful in creating newer democracies.
The US constitution does not continue to be a model for the drafters. In the 60s and 70s there emerged increasing similarity to the US constitution that was reversed in the 80s and 90s and presently have been s less similar on an average. This is because, the new and emerging constitutions are much more powerful . The Canadian, South African of the European conventions have looked more into the human rights. Moreover, there is great difficulties in amending the constitution m which creates its upgradation more difficult.
