a) What must always be used with an Oscilloscope when making a measurement?
b) How do you read the amplitude (Frequency) of a signal from the waveform on an oscilloscope?
c) How do you calculate phase shift by measuring the time delay between zero crossings of two different signals?
10 a) Before making any measurement proper grounding is very important. Because of safety reason. After this you need to connect probes, then calibrate the oscilloscope. After this we need to calibrate time scale and amplitude to view the signal properly in oscilloscope screen.
10 b) Measure the period of waveform
c) Phase shift can be measured by measuring the time period of signal and calculation by given formula
where td is time difference b/w two signals
T time period os signal
There are another ways to find phase difference this is one of the method.
