As per the given problem  ESPN reporter wants to determine the average viewership of Wimbledon finals is more than the French Open finals that is his claim which we taken as alternative hypothesis. He randomly select a sample of 12 Wimbledon finals and 12 French Open finals. Both the sample are independent since we applied t -test for two independent sample.

suppose Wimbledon denotes by Sample 1 having mean   and French open denotes by Sample 2 having mean  .

Now begin the analysis for test statistic:
