1. Managers who are caring take time to get to know the individuals in their team. They’re genuinely interested in people’s success and personal well-being and show this by regularly checking in with people on how they’re going both at work and outside work.
2. Managers who are good coaches focus on developing the people they work with as well as getting the job done. They ensure they have regular one-on-one meetings with team members and encourage them to present solutions to problems, rather than solving problems for them.
3. Managers who are great communicators are good listeners. They allow time for others to speak. They have a clear understanding of the organization’s vision and share it with the people in their team in a way that motivates them. They keep their team up-to-date on what’s happening in the organization
4. Managers who show a genuine interest in employees’ career development acknowledge improvement (not just deliverables). They take time to discuss people’s long-term career aspirations and help them understand potential career paths at and outside the organization.
5. How a manager behaves in challenging circumstances can have a significant impact on their team. Managers who are emotionally resilient are aware of how their mood affects others. They remain calm and productive under pressure and cope well with change.
6. Managers who value fair treatment will allocate tasks and set
schedules keeping in
mind people’s capacity and development goals. They acknowledge good
work. They build a diverse and inclusive team and encourage
diversity of thought.
7. Managers who are results oriented ensure that performance standards are maintained. They work with team members to help remove blockers impeding tasks being completed and help the team get workable outcomes from team meetings.
8. A manager that is leading a team has to be reliable. This means being available for your employees, getting things done that you said you would, and supporting your team however needed.
9. If you don’t respect your employees, there will definitely be tension in your workplace. Be cognizant of their time and abilities, be able to listen and communicate with them, and be a resource of knowledge and guidance.
10. If you don’t know how to delegate projects and tasks, your role as a manager will be a lot more difficult. Don’t be afraid to ask your employees to help complete a task. You might think it’s easier to do everything yourself, but this
We all have to go through this tough phase of MNC where if anybody highlght ceratin things or speak certain things , he or she becomes the devil of that company likewise it happens in my case , i think either i am being bluffed or cheated or is this my destiny . Below are outlines of some instances.
1. I have always gave my 100% hard work and sincere dedication to my work , ery well organized to my work and BAU but i have to face biasedness from my mananger which made my confidence very low and it results in very negative as some time your peers and other manager behve like same way as feedback passes to that manager without randing the qualities of that employee.
2.Due to above disparity , i have to face hurdle in my promotion or IJP (Internal Job Posting ) as beacuse of one incompetence manager and his/her skills you have to face the heat on your professional career.
3. I am beibg victimised in to some other contract when they bring me to do that work of two level up as that person left the organization , i delivered his work very comprehensivley , being rewarded also from ofshore stakeholder but my domestic team have no value and respect for my work, till date i am into that doldrum and repent why i opted for this work as stuggling to get one position, which really frustate me and makes me felt that is this my destiny or pattern of this industry where your skills, hard work not matters rather sugar coating atitude requires.
