the covid 19 has caused adverse economic and health impact in many countries.
discuss how the affected countries are managing the situation in term of the following:
cost effective health intervention including new policies?
The Covid-19 pandemic has made countries to think about newer health-care policies and interventions. But the health-care intervention strategies should be cost-effective, especially at the time when the global economy has been significantly hampered due to lockdown. It has been found that allocating just one percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to a planned and properly designed healthcare intervention can save around 480 million healthy years of life. There has been attempts in the affected countries to provide health-care insurance to the masses. In India, different companies are providing different insurance schemes like PNB MetLife Mera Term Plan covering Covid-19 Claims, First Life Insurance + COVID - 19 Cover, etc. There has been a stress on new government policies like doubling government expenditures on health, thereby making health intervention techniques cost-effective for the masses. There has been an organized approach or a planned approach to enhance public spending via tough decision-making. There has been an attempt to come-up with a "universal health package", which is characteristically cost-effective so that everyone can benefit from the package. A universal package will be focused on people belonging to different socio-economic backgrounds, thereby making the package publicly accessible and usable.
