Question #1 (13 points)
Do people prefer cold drinks in summer and hot drinks in winter ? Use the following contingency table to determine whether there is a relationship between season and drink preference. Follow the 8 steps to hypothesis testing, based on alpha =.01.
Drink Preference
Season Chocolate Smoothie
Summer 5 30
Winter 23 17
The hypothesis being tested is:
H0: There is no relationship between season and drink preference
Ha: There is a relationship between season and drink preference

.0001 | p-value |
The p-value is 0.0001.
Since the p-value (0.0001) is less than the significance level (0.01), we can reject the null hypothesis.
Therefore, we can conclude that there is a relationship between season and drink preference.
