There is a limit to which a society can absorb a number of
migrants but it is not less than the state’s and economies
capacities to care for the newcomers.
On the contrary, the number of people who end up migrating are
more than what a state and economy can absorb.
The factors affecting this-
- Employment- There are less number of jobs available in
underdeveloped areas from which people usually migrate to big
cities in order to find employment. The number of migrants are more
than the availability of jobs present in developed areas
though.
- Healthcare- There is almost no health care facilities available
in the villages from where the people migrate if we consider a
developing country. They migrate in order to get better healthcare
facilities. The states sure have plenty of clinics and hospitals
but due to increased number of people looking for treatments, the
services of such institutions have increased but people usually
find a waiting time in hospitals due to this.
- Education- People migrate in search for better educational
facilities for their children. Due to this increased demand of
education, educational faclilities are getting expensive day by
day.
