What is the difference between the population growth of the predators without prey (N0=0), versus prey growth without predators (P0=0)?
in the case of the predators without the prey we can see the decline in the predator population due to the non availibility of the basic resource (food). The limited amount or absence of food causes a hinderance to growth and increases the competition and causes a decline in the population
Whereas in the other case where there are no predators but prey only, there will be an initial rapid increase in the population of prey due to the asence of the predator. The population grows until the carrying capacity and then there occurs competition between the species for the available resources and the dominant species survives and the lesser species may become extinct in the due course
