    3. Growth hormone

    4. Cortisol

    5. All of the above increase fat anabolism

Solutions

Expert Solution

Answer is Insulin - Only Anabolic hormone other are Catabolic

Explanation - Insulin is lipogenic hormone helps in Fatty acid synthesis .It activate Pyruvate dehydrogenase complex which convert Pyruvate into Acetyl coA and more Acetyl coA is available which is used for Fatty acid synthesis.

Fat anabolism means synthesis of fats.Fatty acid synthesis occurs in cytoplasm .Acetyl CoA combine combines with Bicarbonate In presence of Acetyl COA carboxylase and form Malonyl CoA .Rate limiting step in Fatty acid syntheis.

Catecholamines activate Lipase enzyme and cause release of Free fatty acids from adipose tissue by breaking triglycerides .

Growth hormone also promotes lipolysis because it inhibts lipoprotein lipase, which hydrolyzes triglycerides in the circulation and then those triglyceride are available for triglyceride accumulation in adipose tissue. GH also stimulates hormone sensitive lipase (HSL), the rate-limiting step for release of stored triglyceride in adipocytes (lipolysis).

Cortisol is Catabolic hormone so it cause Lipolysis to release fats into circulation after it's action on adipocytes .
