Should the government play a key role in aiding the uninsured and the vulnerable or should market forces determine who receives care and services when it comes to the population health status?
during this pandemic as we all have observed that the responsibility of taking care in terms of personal care as well as public care relies totally on the goodwill and coordination of the people of the particular country and in that contacts the government formed by the people has to take the responsibilities regarding the health status of the population and also has to intervene accordingly.subah it comes to providing health services and health of the population of the overall country the government plays a critical role in aiding the endangered and vulnerable population in a manner which provides them protection care and treatment plans according to a set label which is affordable to majority of the population and covers a large extent of people. this intervention insurance that the health of the population and the opportunities to receive equal treatment is not provoked by any financial gains but in case of public interest. if we leave the responsibility of providing health to the larger masses of the population and the vulnerable population in the hands of market players then it becomes a bidding war where the person who pays the higher price for the more expensive price gets the treatment at the person who cannot afford such hire elevated prices has to move away from his rights of receiving treatment and suffer the consequences in terms of ill health, disease and poverty. Therefore it is very important for the government to intervene and set a standard where there is control on the market forces and the responsibility is divided between public and the private sector to take care of the population as a collective responsibility and not including the factor of profiteering in such emergency situation which released to public health.
