In: Statistics and Probability
P(z < 2.375 ) - P(z < -0.125) = 0.99123-0.45026
CAN YOU PLEASE SHOW HOW TO USE THE Z-TABLE TO FIND THE PROBABILITIES, i CAN'T UNDERSTAND HOW TO GET 0.99123 AND 0.45026
PLEASE SHOW A SNAP SHOT FROM THE TABLE TO UNDERSTAND
We have two z tables one for positive z scores i.e P(Z<z) and other for negative z scores i.e P (Z<-z)
Now here we have,
P(z<2.375)-P(z<-0.125)
It is very easy to find this value just go to z table and see the value corresponding to 2.3 in row and 0.07 in column see this value in positive z score table similarly for second value see the value corresponding to -0.1 in row and 0.02 in column.
We can also find this values by using r software by using command
pnorm(2.375)-pnorm(-0.125)
We can easily get the answer .
