What do you think is going on at the end of this case?
The staff aren't pleased with Tom Bray 's strategy as team leader. The team is defiant and they're not pleased with Tom Bray's style of leadership. The team leaders have experience and don't want him again. It can be proven when Tom finds Jack working alone while the rest of the team.Second, Tom's greeting response indicates that a team is unmotivated and is likely to complain to the administration. Unless the present situation continues, Tom Bray is likely to have to step down from the office. Tom trusts the team and the MBWA system so much, but his confidence is fracturing. Langfred argues that a leader ought to have too much trust or trust in the team he manages.
What should Tom do next and why?
Tom needs to contact Jack to want to see what's going on. Jack seems to have a strong relationship with Tom while the relationship with the rest of the team is obviously limited. Tom will also call to see the entire team and try and figure out if anything is wrong. Employees are dynamic structures and they have to handle their relationships well. Delegate to the members some of the tasks to improve the task operation at the workplace. In order to increase the responsibility of every member of the team, Tom should at last allocate his job for all. P.S., Devadas, R. & Hughson, T. L. According to Goodman, (1988), the effectiveness of a team is decided by the leadership's close management and motivation.
