Global product form: The global product form is defined as the product which is formed in such a way that it is suitable for the global market. The globally suitable product is known as global product form.
The company might adapt this form, because it will be helpful for the company when they want to expand their business globally.
Disadvantages of this structure: The disadvantage of this structure could be like the global product may not be suitable to local needs of the consumers OR the global product may not be suitable for the local consumers, as the product contains the global feature and do not contains local features.
Use of market indicators: The use of market indicators is that based on the market indicators, an organization may develop their strategy and plan for market entry, launch, survive and achieve growth with managing the existing market forces and competitions.
With global leadership, global teams, and global change, the global context adds substantial complexity to the activity, because the global market is a complex model as it has various regional issues and forces and management of such regional complex issues are not easy, hence it is a complex management for global businesses.
Advice we would like to give to a friend who wants to develop global leadership skills and is an English major that global management is effective with better management of the business with local leaders and as a global business we need to have common approach for managing the local leaderships.
There is no difference between management and leadership - disagree with this assertion, the reason is leadership is act or skill of effective management of the business while management is not necessary that it will be managed effectively without leadership. We can say that leadership is action and management is result.
Types of information that an international company needs to have reported to it by its units around the world: The common score card which contains the basic business parameters like sale, revenue, profit, taxes, managed expenses, defect levels, supplier quality levels, productivity, overheads, safety, legal update and any major issues/updates etc.
These are important in order to have close watch on the performance and direction of the global units and these helps in proper control on the global units.
Organizational design is defined as the staffing arrangement of the global units in their local locations so that they can achieve their business objectives.
It is an important topic for managers of international companies to understand, because by this organization design they can understand the working of the global units and they can develop their control system and tactics for global units.
