Raw data can be understood as just data which are given in bits and pieces .It will not give complete meaning or will not be fully useful in its raw form.In other words it is a part of information which again provides only partial meaning.No conclusion or decision can be taken on raw data.
Information on the other hand is data that is processed , analysed and given in a complete format. It will given through clear presentation and any complete meaning can be deciphered from the information..It is complete and whole by itself.Both data and information are interdependent but depends on the situation and the purpose they are used for.
Example for raw data and information.
In a classroom when details are given about every individual students scorecard that details are called as raw data whereas on the other hand when details about the students marks based on their ranking and performance is given to know how how many have scored above 90% etc.then it is called as information.
