1a. Can we delete a drawing view in autodesk inventor? How?

Ans. You can change the label, scale, display style, and other attributes of a drawing view. If appropriate, you can select a different design view representation to show component visibility and a positional representation to create a view from a kinematic "snapshot" of the assembly.

Tips:

• To move a view, click and drag the red border of the view.
• You can delete a drawing view or copy and paste a view to another sheet. Right-click the view, and select the appropriate operation from the menu.
• If you need to recover work features after you have created a view, right-click the model in the browser, and then select Include Work Features. In the Include Work Features dialog box, specify the type of work features you want to recover in the drawing view.
• Default settings and values in the Drawing View dialog box are defined in the current standard and can be changed by using Style Editor.

Note: If you delete a view with dependent projected, section, detail, or auxiliary views, they are automatically deleted.

1b. Can we adjust the length of centerlines in the draftingmode of inventor? how?

Ans. Yes, Move the cursor on top of the centerlines and drag the grip points to adjust the length of centerlines. Drawing views can be deleted just like any other objects.

1c. Describe the purpose and usage of the leader text command

Ans. Leaders is a line or spline with arrowhead at one end, and annotations (Mtext, blocks as well as tolerance) at the other end.

We will use this command to identify the size of the small drill hole at the center.

     Generally, you place an arrowhead at the first point. An annotation, created as dimension text, is placed immediately adjacent to the last point.

Create a Leader Line

      You can use LEADER or QLEADER to create a leader and control the appearance. The color of a leader is controlled by the color of the current dimension line. The scale is controlled by the global dimension scale specified on the current dimension style. The appearance of a leader is control by the setting of the first arrowhead on the current dimension style.

Add Text to a Leader

There are two methods to add text to a leader:

• Types text on the command line

• Using multiline text editor creates multiline text.

    When creating text, you can assign the style to an individual character and attach the copies of the current annotation to the leader.

    When the value of variable system DIMGAP is negative, the system creates a box next to the text, which the distance between them is determined by the value of DIMGAP.

       The text is placed automatically at the endpoint of a leader at the specified value, which is stored in the "Offset from dim line" on the Text tab of Modify Dimension Style dialog box. If the dimension is tolerance, the future control frame is placed at the endpoint of a leader as well. A block is inserted at the specified location with the specified scale value.

To create a leader and an annotation

1. Choose Dimensions > Leader.

2. Specify the starting point of the leader.

3. Specify the endpoint of the leader line segment.

4. Specify additional leader line segment endpoints.

5. After you specify the last endpoint, press Enter.

6. Type the annotation, and press Enter to enter the Next line of annotation text.

7. Press ENTER to complete the command.
