Connectivity: Generously speaking connectivity means you have a medium for data transfer between two machines, wheather it's a physical medium (like ethernet cable) or a wireless medium (like a wifi network).

Computer Network: A computer network is a group of computers that share data over a wireless or cable-connected set-up. (reference Computer Networks, 5e (5th Edition) Paperback – 2013 by Tanenbaum )

Internet The Internet is a global network of computer networks.

Web The WWW (more commonly Web) is just a part of the Internet which uses pages which can be shown by browsers.

These pages are

  • described in the html language,
  • sent and received by internet servers (special server software on them),
  • linkable between pages and every character string (and therefore as a whole called “the web” which today everybody knows is “world wide”).

Cloud computing: Cloud computing means that instead of all the computer hardware and software you're using sitting on your desktop, or somewhere inside your company's network, it's provided for you as a service by another company and accessed over the Internet, usually in a completely seamless way.

IOT: puting in simplest words IOT means making small or everyday-life devices smart by assigining them an IP and connecting them to the internet and they collect data on which some computation is done to extract interested information and use that information for some goal.

Wireless Revolution: We are making every device wireless and smart :- wifi-networks (older days ethernet PC and laptops), wireless-charging solutions, wireless-earphones, wireless speakers. We are making every thing that is possible wirelessly-connected to internet.

[Analytical Question] Caching. We have an enterprise network connected to the Internet. Assume the average web request rate from this network’s browsers is 22 requests per second, and average object size transferred is 1,000,000 bits. Also assume the capacity of the institutional link providing access of this enterprise to the internet is 20Mbps.
