Sleep is a process in which one person closes his/her eyes and become unconscious for some time. Sleep basically restores our lost energy. It refreshes us. During sleep, our cells get repaired. Hormones are also synthesized during sleep.
Sleep is very much important because it helps in retaining information which are crucial for living a meaningful life. It has been found that poor sleep may cause various disorders like obesity and other heart related problems.
If we do not take proper sleep then stress becomes dominant in our life. It hampers our working efficiencies. Our life expectancy is also reduced in case of improper sleep. Lack of sleep causes rise in blood pressure. It leads to various heart related diseases.
Person with sleeping disorder may also get involved in depression. Our physical appearances also start deteriorating due to lack of sleep. Day time nap should be avoided in order to ensure a proper sleep. We should follow a fixed time table.
We should go to bed at fixed time. Use of caffeine should be minimised. Sleeping room should be dark and calm. Stressful discussions should be avoided before going to bed.
