A _______ consists of a motor nerve fiber and all the muscle fibers it atimulates at neuromuscular joints

Solutions

Expert Solution

Motor unit consist of a motor nerve fiber and all the muscles fibers and it stimulates at neuromuscular joints,

the neurons receives signal from the brain and stimulates all the nerve fibers in that particular units.

Neuromuscular junctions connects the nervous system to the muscular system and motor unit have two main component a single effector motor neuron ( the neuron that carries impulse away from brain and all the muscle fiber it innervates.

the motor unit may innervate multiple muscle fibers in asingle cell and can innervate single muscle fibers

Due to the release of acetylcholine stimulation of muscle fiber by motor neuron occurs at sarcolemma of neuromuscular junctions.

At neuromuscular junctions there is a chemical synapse between motor fibers and motor neuron

neuromuscular junctions allows the motor neuron to transmit the signal to the muscle fiber causing muscular contraction.
