Order the following steps of a cell signaling system.

signal transduction

signal deactivation

signal response

signal reception

Solutions

Expert Solution

The correct order of cell signalling system would be:

1. Signal reception - In this step, a chemical signal is detected by the cell when the ligand binds to its receptor present on the cell.

2. Signal transuction - After the interaction of ligand with its receptor, a relay of step occurs inside the cell. One step activates the other and in this way, a pathway is generated.

3. Signal response- When the steps get completed in a pathway, a final and intended response is generated.

4. Signal deactivation- When a particular response is generated and its concerned change has been brought in the cell, an inhibitor deactivates the pathway.

Therefore, the correct order would be Singal reception ---> Signal transuction ----> Signal response ----> Signal deactivation

Hope it helps, Good luck !!!
