USA has continued its Trade war with China that has made both the economies to suffer. President Trump's high handed approach of work, has not gone well with the Chinese top hierarchy and it has become more of a matter of prestige for both the nations. With this continued trade war, US president has only conveyed his commitment towards better trade terms with other nations such as China. It is the only gain he has made, that may help him in the coming elections, but not in economic terms. In contrast, China has not given up with a view that if they compromise with USA, then every other nation will follow the same path.

USA has gained in terms of new terms of NAFTA when USA renegotiated with the countries Canada and Mexico. The new agreement is named as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) that is much better than the previous deal in terms of those primary sectors where Canada and Mexico were strong in earlier version of NAFTA. It is the USMCA that has given a level playing field for sectors like Agriculture and it is achieved by the USA against Canada and Mexico.
