Steps taken prevent the data breach like this can we proper encryption of the data by using latest version of encryption techniques and using multi factor authentication to access the data and adding IDS and IPS system to check for the attack and report the managers.
Benefits of using a database with role based access to the file are that there are no duplicate redundancy of the files in the database and second benefit is that anyone can access the file from anywhere in the company using their credentials for the role.
The factor that have been overlooked by the business are to keep up with the change in technology and serve the customers the latest technology in Trend. Nokia sale to overlook that new technology will be the future and they did not accept the change as it would have harm their existing user base and second factor is that they thought that their existing user would be sticking to the older technology as it would be cheap and easily access and fail to recognise that the new emerging technology can be available at the low price and to all the consumers easily.
