Qualitative Data mainly deals with data that provides some insights and explains about a particular problem. So, here the nature of data will be descriptive and not in numerical. The method used in collecting the data is mainly through focus groups, interviews, and observations, so the data will be in an unstructured format or semi-structured format. The sample considered in data collection is very small. As the data revolves around its insights and understanding of data, the research methodology used here is exploratory in nature. The qualitative data helps in creating an initial understanding of the data.
Quantitative Data: Here the data mainly deals with numbers, quantities, and values. The method used in collecting the data is mainly through surveys, interviews, and experiments, so the data will be in a structured format. The sample considered in data collection is very large. The research methodology used in quantitative data is conclusive in nature as it aims in verifying or examining a specific hypothesis. The quantitative data helps in giving suggestions to the final course of action.
