Expert Solution

Answer:

The 19 year old pet is cat.

The cat that left spittle means secretion of saliva in the mouth . It helps the cat to remove the iritation in the throat and mouth.

Meow mix is the food is to be given to cat. It consist of corn, wheat, milk, soy etc. It is allergic to some cats and it does not digest properly in the cat it leads to spit the meow mix.

The cat has the ability of grooming himself. The cat lick over the body to remove the dirt and parasites, In that process tongue of the cat is struck with dead hairs and it passes to the digestive tract after sometimes the cat get spitted out through the mouth. It is like vomiting of hair balls.

Physiological basis of fluffy action:

The fluffy action is caused due to hormone signals in the body of cat. This is occurs due to fight and flight response of symphathetic nervous system. If the cat get afraid or threatened the hairs at the back and tail of cat will puff up.This is the physiology behind fluffy action.
