One of the most common things faced by women in the work place is se-Xual harassment. Work place se-xual harassment is is identified as the se-xual advances which are unwelcome and are made by someone at the work place. Type of se-xual harrasment May be 1) hostile environment at work and 2) quid pro quo.

One such problem faced by me was when I had been constantly harrased by one of my office colleagues with se-xual jokes and offensive comments. Whenever we would come in front of one another, he would start to make bad/inappropriate gestures to me. I had warned him several times to stop doing these acts. I had put his number in do not disturb so as to not receive messages from him but he started sending messages in the form of letters via office staff.

Ultimately, I had to confront him. I called him into the Human Resource department and send a formal complaint against him. I had his messages to show as proof and he couldn’t lie. We had a long discussion in front of the office board as well and he was given warnings by the management. After a while, his actions came to a halt. Though, I kept feeling uncomfortable in front of him, as there could be no rules applicable on the eyes of a person.

But, signs, and letters came to a halt.
