James v Meow Media, Inc 2002: James was a high school
student killed by another student who played violent video games
made by the defendant. The killer had been infatuated with 'first
person shooter' games and it was the deceased family's argument
that the video game made the him more likely to play out his
fantasy by killing their son. James’ family sued the video game
