One of the recent natural disaster was the cyclone Pabuk which hit the Malay Peninsula and originated in the South China Sea. It had hit Thailand, Vietnam and some parts of Malaysia. The most significant public health concern through the storm was being caught in the cyclone, killed by falling trees or being drowned due to the cyclone. As a preventing measure, all the tourist and local people were evacuated from the probable affected areas, flights have been cancelled and all the activities in the sea was suspended. This prevented the magnitude of life damage it could cause.

Some potential steps that can be taken to reduce vulnerability of some places to health threats of natural disasters is by announcing immediate evacuation from areas that have potential of being affected. It is important to prepare the public to address the condition, provide relief and aids. The healthcare facilities so should prepare in advance to cater and address people with health problems. There must be awareness spread to prepare people of the situation and hence take the necessary action. It is always best to prepare for the situation and hence prevent adversity.

A recent humanitarian emergency is something that is extended to people during humanitarian crisis and an example is war torn countries where the conflicts breakdown the whole country claiming lives of innocent. The civil wars in Syria and Yemen has led to increase number of refugees and example of humanitarian aid was given by Canada where they gave citizenship to many refugees. Apart from that, they have been given relief aid and employment in Canada to start a new life.

It is important that the relief agencies working together and focus on most effective activities out of which one of them is famine and starvation in Africa. The poverty rate in Africa is very high and year after year being hit by famine leading of malnutrition and major health crisis. As relief agencies, they must first focus on ensuring that they work on effective activities like eradication of malnutrition and famine by providing financial and food aid to the poor population of Africa.

The US is not able to achieve the flattening the curve status yet in COVID19 cases because there has been exponential rise in the new number of cases every single day with US ranking number 1 in COVID19 cases. The lack of medical resources to cater to the mammoth of new cases everyday is leading to the increasing rise. The lockdown and preventive measures were taken late or else the exponential rise could have been prevented or reduced. However, in some states like New York lockdown was initiated early and it has been able to control the cases.
