Describe & explain & discuss experiments / observations in humans and monkeys that demonstrate the role of the parietal lobe in attention and attention disorders
The parietal lobe is the middle part of the brain which is located behind the central for towards the back. The brain is divided into different lobes and the parietal lobe is the back part of the brain which is divided into two different hemispheres. They function in the processing of sensory information which are located at different part of the body. They are responsible for the interpretation of visual information as well as language and mathematics. If the Parietal lobe is damaged then one can have confusion difficulty in writing and solving the mathematics.
The experiment and observation in humans and monkeys which represent the role of the parietal lobe in attention and attention disorder are problems of difficulty in writing and mathematics. Different forms of disorders are also observed with the parietal lobe function like trauma infection and tumors. This is another form of etiological factor which impaired the function of the frontal lobe. The parietal lobe plays an important role in integration of sensory information from different part of the body.
