1. Describe the differences you observed between the fibrocartilage and hyaline cartilage slides.
2. Describe the differences you observed between the elastic cartilage and hyaline cartilage slides.
3. How does the structure of an osteon contribute to the overall strength and health of bone?
4. How does the structure of vertebrae aid in their function?
5. How are a patella and scapula similar in form and function?
Answer
1. The difference between hyaline cartalage and fibro cartalage
Hyaline cartalage is a smooth bluish white tissue where the fibro cartilage consists of dense masses of white collagen fibers in a matrix similar to that of hylane cartilage
2.The Differences between elastic cartilage and hyaline
cartilage
The elastic cartilage is the flexible tissue consist of yellow
elastic fibres lying in a solid matrix hyaline cartilage is a
smooth bluish - white tissue hyaline cartilage the chondrocytes are
in small groups within the cell nest and the matrix is solid and
smooth.
Then the elastic cartilage condrocytes lie between the fibres
3. The structure of osteon surrounded by martix of collagen fibres
strength by calcium and phosphate it provides bones with their
charecteristics strength and rigidity
4. Vertebrae is the spring mechanism that provides absorption of
energy if vertebrae consist of spines and connect between them
5. The both patella and scapula are involved in the movement of leg
and arm. Both patella and scapula allows the muscles to bend motion
and movement of leg and arm
