According to the movie, Walmart: The High Cost of Low Price, and the other videos, what specifically does Walmart do to keep its prices low? What do you think of these tactics? Does this change your opinion of whether you will shop at Walmart in the future? What does Costco due to keep its prices low? Why is it different from Walmart? Do you think other companies pursue strategies like Walmart does or like Costco does? What can be done by the government to encourage companies to be responsible corporate citizens? What can you do as a consumer to influence Walmart?
Walmart is underpaying it's workers and outsourcing most of its work to other countries where they have labour to work at cheaper costs. They are not even taking care of their workers and are also not paying them all the benefits that they should receive from the company. Due to these tactics and unethical practices Walmart was able to keep its prices low and is satndist as the largest corporation in the market. Most of the cases it will not change any opinion as people will only take care about themselves but not about others which means they will think that they are getting at low prices so why they will care about others. Yes it will change my view on Walmart after reading this as they are playing fool of workers and government by doing these type of factors.
Costco products are sold at low prices because suppliers have to bid for their shelves as they are low in number.Hence prices are going down. Every company has its own tactics to earn profits which in turn make them too loose their ethical values and standards.
Government should regulate these corporate companies and make them to follow strict CSR guidelines and see that they are treating and compensating their employees with all benefits at a reasonable amount.
As a consumer I have to stop buying products from Walmart by writing the review that it is treating its employees badly which will effect it's sales and than a change may take place.
