A bias in evidence based medicine is any factor that leads to conclusions that are systematically different from the truth .
In a clinical trial, bias refers to effects that a conclusion that may be incorrect .
For example, when a researcher or patient knows what treatment is being given or choose their medicne , it may result into bias .
To avoid bias, a blinded study or random study may be done.
Now we konw that every person have different type of responce to particular medicine , like some people\patients may get allergy or might feel some side effect such as headache .
If blinded or random study may not be done , suppose patient choose their medicne in the study , then in some case that particular medicine may be effective to that respective person only , i.e he knows that this particular medicine have no side effect on him and also effective on him .
So if paietns choose their medicne in the study , then in advance he know that weather there is side effect or not , what are its effect etc . But that particular medicne may have some other effect on other patients .
So here we may get bias in result , as if patients choose their medicne in the study and we draw some conclusion based on that patient , then conclusion may be wrong , and for any new patients it may give servral side effects or he may not get cure , if he have complete differen genetics\healt condition than patients under study .
