Digital evidence :

​​​​​​Digital evidence is nothing but data or information which is in the form of digital. This evidence is used as a proof when cyber crime or theft occurs and can be submitted in court after filing case on the suspect.

Digital evidence is broadly classified as two types. They are storage device which can store digital data and other is interception that occurs while transmission or communication of data.

Types of evidence :

  1. ​​Demonstrative evidence - This is in the form of a written statement or spoken words at trail tat court that has information about the theft. This evidence is in the form of diagrams or graphs or maps or animations, etc.,
  2. Real evidence - This exist in the real world situation, where this can be submitted in court. This may be a cloth with blood marks, or a gun or any device of the culprit.
  3. Testimonial evidence - This is the evidence, where the person saw the crime or theft and he stands up in the court as a witness. He is the evidence for that case.
  4. Documentary evidence - Documents are produced at trial, those documents are the evidence which proves that a person or a team is repsonsible for the crime.
