FILL IN THE BLANKS
Sarah- A). Blind spot
B). The natural blind spot (scotoma) is due to lack of receptors (rods or cones) where the optic nerve and blood vessels leave the eye... Blind spot represent the optic disc in visual field.
We detect dim light from our peripheral visual field because more rods in the periphery of retina ... Central retina had more cones which appreciate color or day light vision.....
3 differences in bird vision from human vision:-
A). Cones, or cells, in the bird's retina help detect and differentiate color. Humans only have three cones in the eye's retina. Birds have four, allowing for a broader spectrum of vision. This advantage enables the bird's eye to detect the slightest contrast of color in their environment, helping them spot prey.....
B and C.... .
Camera analogy
A). Film is analogous to Retina
B). Aperture analogous to Pupil. The pupil, behind the cornea, is a hole in the colored membrane called the iris. Tiny muscles in the iris change the size of the pupil – like the aperture of a camera – to control the amount of light getting into the eye.
C).cord analogous to optic nerve
