In the chemical industrial process the ppm concentraion is used commonly.
in this problem we have to find the pats per million of the dissolved solids in the given mixture.
the parts per million (y) is defined as the concentration of dissolved solid per million concentration of total mixture. mathematically it is given as,

Ci = concentration of component
Ctot = concentration of total mixture.
so, we will use this knowledge to solve the problem .
we have to analyze the given data and convert the concentration to ppm.

so when we use the equation to calculate the ppm concentration of all the components we get the following table,

sample solution for the sodium will be,
Ci = 75000 mg/l
Ctot = 237780 mg/l
so,using the equation 1,
and the %solid in mixture will be,
Ci/Ctot * 100 = 75000mg/l * 100 / 237780 mg/l = 31.54 %
similarly the calculation for all the components are done to get the analysis table.
