Plate tectonic is the exception. Plate tectonics is the theory which states that the earths crsust is divided in to number of segments called tectonic plates.

Other three are related to the earth's diversity of life. Snaow ball earth is the period during which most of the diversity is wiped out. Life remained only in small pockets on the earth.

Cambrian explosion is the time when the life has suddenly got diversified in to variety of multicellular forms. This has occured soon after the snaow ball earth.

Levels of CO2 is more during winter. That is why Snow ball period of the earth higher levels of CO2.Levels of CO2 was 10 times more than what actually exists now during the time of Cambrian explosion. Increased CO2 levels seem to have ended the snow ball period as more CO2 must have led to green house effect and melting of ice.

The plant diversity leads to increase in O2 levels as the plants utilize CO2 from the atmosphere and convert it in to O2. Present day atmosphere must be due to increased plant diversity on the earth.
