While looking at the results of an oil pressure test: Technician Asays that higher than normal readings can be caused by using oil that is too thin. Technician Bsays that higher than normal readings can be exppected on a cold engine. Who is correct? a. Tec A b. Tec B c. Both A and B d. Neither A nor B
Answer:-
Technician B is correct.
[ Note:- Technician A is not correct because when engine gets heated then oil gets thin, and thin oil flows easier than cold oil resulting in decrease in oil pressure.
Technician B is correct because when the engine is cold then oil is much thicker than it will be at operating temperature. Because of that a restriction will create on the way of oil flow ,during starting this type of problem arises and because of that oil pressure will show higher than normal reading.]
