Given one dice and one quarter, what is the Probability of Tossing 6 on the dice and heads on the quarter

Solutions

Expert Solution

In this case we have given a problem of rolling of die and tossing a quarter.

Quarter is a united states coin worth 25 cents . Quarter is used as a short name of quater dollar.

If a die is rolled then atere are 6 possible cases i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. However, if we toss a coin then we get head (H) and tail (T) as the possible cases.

Inorder to obtain the probability of six on the die and heads on the quater we first obtain the possible if we toss a coin and roll a die simultaneously. There are 6 possible cases in rolling a dies and 2 cases in tossing a coin. Thus we have total 6*2=12 possible cases which are given below.

Total number of cases =12

Favourable case for 6 on one die and head on the quarter =1

So, the probability for 6 on one die and head on quater is given by
