Your leader wants you to evaluate the difference in cycle time between three different offices. Describe the steps you would take in the evaluation in order to provide a report so the leader can take action.
CAN AN EXAMPLE BE GIVEN OTHER THAN THE ONE POSTED ALREADY?
The dependent variable is three different offices and the independent variable is the difference in cycle time.
To evaluate the difference in cycle time between three different offices, the One-Factorial Between Subjects Test is necessary to check the difference in the mean cycle time.
The hypothesis being tested is:
H0: There is no significant difference in cycle time between three different offices
Ha: There is a significant difference in cycle time between three different offices
The between-subjects ANOVA table will give the test statistic and the corresponding p-value for the degree of freedom of the numerator and degree of freedom of the denominator.
If the p-value comes to be less than the significance level, we can reject the null hypothesis and conclude that there is a difference in cycle time between three different offices.
If the p-value comes to be greater than the significance level, we cannot reject the null hypothesis and cannot conclude that there is a difference in cycle time between three different offices.
If there is a difference in cycle time between three different offices, then the further steps have to be taken by the leader for the action.
