So for the question I have, is 50 people responded to a survey question regarding how many pets they currently owned. 5 people said 0, 5 said 1, 7 said 2, 5 said 3, 4 said 4, 3 said 5, 4 said 6, 2 said 7, 2 said 8, 1 said 9, 1 said 11, 1 said 14, 2 said 15, 1 said 18, 1 said 19, 2 said 21, 1 said 32, 1 said 24, and 1 said 27. leaving 10,12,13,16,17, 20, 22, 25,26 with no results.

How do i figure out this below?

2) Minimum = 0

3) Maximum = 32

4) 1st quartile (Q1) is that point, below which 25% of the data lies. Here Q1 = 2

5) 3rd quartile (Q3) is that point, below which 75% of the data lies. Here Q3 = 8

5) Median is that point in the dataset below which 50% of the data lies. Here, median = Q2 = 4

6) Mean =xbar = (1/49)*sum(xi) = 7.041

7) Standard Deviation (s) = (1/(48)*sum(xi - xbar)2)0.5 = 7.775386

8) Mode = number having maximum frequency . Here 7 people said they have 2 pets. So, 2 is the maximum number occuring. So,mode = 2.

9) Z value = (x - xbar)/s

a) Z value for minimum = (0 - 7.041)/7.775386 = -0.9055262

b) Z value for maximum = (32-7.041)/7.775386 = 3.210025

10) Range = maximum - minimum = 32 - 0 = 32
