Core leader is the one, who is recognized as central to the leadership, leaders at different level face different challenges, it is irrespective of the position that whether it is an individual or senior executive, whatever is the position the core leader is the one who is leading others in building for new opportunities and the next level of responsibility, the core leader should have various abilities like foresightedness that is an actually the subset of many qualities one should have. The organizational skill combines together with foresightedness take an organization further in development. As Peter Northouse, Robert Katz in 1955 put forth the skills-based model of leadership that depends on Conceptual, Technical, and human skill, describing as the three main quality a leader should possess these are the core qualities.
The core leader who is the center of a group of leading and executives and other members should possess various qualities like, self-awareness, it is an important factor for ongoing and for the long-term effectiveness of the leadership. The second factor is communication skill it is one of the most important basic skill to develop and refine during the career, the leader has to keep himself updated about new ideas, inventions, and research, he should be able to convey his message whether written, or orally it should be delivered it clear tone, so the message will motivate the fellow workers and group people, and convey strategies and vision pulling people together with him. To make people accept and work towards the goal the core leader should have the ability to influence others through his communicating skill; the influence allows getting things done and achieving desirable outcomes. A core leader should adopt the give and take policy, the leader has to be a good listener. He should show his concern towards all working under him. He should have learning agility, he should learn from his mistakes and ready to mend it, accepting responsibility for developing the organization, It includes learning a new skill, responding to the new environment and situation, taking advantages of new opportunities, use the skill, motivate the fellow workers as a core leader the responsibilities are very demanding.
There is tremendous demand in an organization as the scenario is changing every day with new strategies, marketing styles, and consumer’s preferences are also changing every day. In the 21st century due to bloom in telemarketing online shopping and media advertisements, the competitions have increased many folds. The core leader is the leading person his responsibilities and abilities have also increased, as mentioned above he has to keep himself updated with the changing trend and adapt it in the best possible way, he should have The leaders of the 21st century should have knowledge of both of global scale as well as deep-rooted beliefs of the society and their culture
According to Roberto Jimenez, who is the senior analyst, he suggests that the leaders will need to be motivated by personal values and the financial performance is not the only key factor in the business, they should show a commitment to their beliefs in order to draw continued efforts from others. To survive in the business the leaders should put the sustainable agenda forward by making it their personal issue, development and positive outcome will help the organization and ultimately every individual will be benefited, it will become their personal gain.
