Anatomical terms-

Superior ​​​​​​-  word means above, It is used to refer to what is above something. Example- Neck is superior to chest.

Inferior- word means below, It is used to refer to what is below something. Example- chest is inferior to head.

Medial- word means middle, It is used to refer to the structure close to the centre of an organism.

lateral- word means to the side , It is used to refer to the sides of an organism.

Proximal- word means nearer, It is used to refer to the structures which are nearer to the main mass of the body.

Distal- word means away from, It is used to refer to the structure which are away from the main mass of the body.

Ventral- word means belly, It is used to refer to the front or lower side of the body.

Dorsal- word means back, It is used to refer to the back or upper side of the body.
